A site suitability assessment / percolation test is used to determine if a septic tank or wastewater treatment system is suitable for a proposed development. Our team of highly qualified & experience engineers offer:
- Free preliminary site visit & planning advice
- Site Suitability Assessment in accordance with the EPA 2009 Code of Practice
- “Fit for Purpose” design for the treatment system & polishing filter
- ISO 9001:2008 from the NSAI Authority for the design of treatment systems
- Professional negligence indemnity insurance up to €13,000,000
Only bioCycle™ includes a “Fit for Purpose” design for the treatment system & polishing filter with our site suitability assessments. When certified offers the best long term wastewater solution and unrivaled protection for the homeowner.
The EPA 2009 design is based on a calculation which just uses the number of bedrooms at a property to determine system loading. It does not account for usage of appliances or water saving devices which have a significant impact on treatment system loading. This could lead to an inadequate wastewater treatment system and result in:
- Homeowner liability under the Water Services Act 2012
- Non-compliance with Building Regulations
- Risk to human health and the environment
- Increased maintenance costs
- Decease lifespan of polishing filter
- Obnoxious odours
